Axis Pleat Wrap Top
Completed while studying at Jefferson University


        This knitted structure is inspired by the pleating techniques used to condense large solar arrays into the 1995 Japan Space Flyer Unit. The two halves of the weap top are the same shape. One half of knit along the x-axis, while the other is knit along  the y-axis. This wrap top folds along the pleated knit seams to fit into a small compartment without wrinkling. The garment becomes more interesting in motion. Mood Board Here
